  Was much better before Sobeys bought Safeway. Too much dairy and produce has been returned lately. The 3 stars are only for the staff who deserve all 5. They are fantastic however the total store rating brings them down.

  I visit this location often as its near my work and the sandwiches are delicious. When I come here I get very inconsistent customer service.
  Today I waited 22 minutes for my sandwich to be prepared. For that amount of time I should have just gone to a restaraunt. Consistently I find the staff ignore me and other customers asking to purchase food, meat, or prepare sandwiches. There is no sense of urgency to help customers in a timely manner and while there is a line up at the counter and 3 or 4 people behind the counter the staff won't help eachother to move the line along. If the staff aren't willing to make sandwiches then don't have a sandwich station. So frustrating.

  Good stock and very engaged staff. Whenever I walk through someone asks me if I'm doing ok or if they can help me find something. Rare in grocery, and appreciated.

  It's a clean store with great selection (with the exception of bulk foods). The service is very good, and most staff are happy to help if I need assistance. There are a couple of rather grumpy cashiers, but the other cashiers make up for that. Some of their every day prices are actually lower than the competition (i.e. free range eggs, 2L soda bottles, and more), especially now that they've reduced many every day prices. A suggestion would be for the bakery dept. to use real whipped cream on their cakes like Save-On-Foods does. I would expect this of Safeway.
